I'm off to Great Yarmouth tomorrow with my family for a week :) We all need this break so much. It's long over due.

We have a bit off a family tradition that we always have a bit of a make over/ neaten up before we go. Which included shopping and haircuts!
Just as well my lil sister Lee is a hairdresser and obsessed with nails.
So of course we get them free of charge :)

No I was in desperate need of a hair cut because as much as I love the big bang theory, told you I was a bit of a geek. I was one turtle neck and bright coloured trouser, away from being Howard wolowitz twin sister lol
As you can see here!

I've had many different colours and short styles over the years as you can see below but I think a short crop is deffo my signature style and I don't think I could go back now.

Going red last year.
So last night my sister finally cut and coloured my hair.
It was meant to be a bright purple but disappointingly it came out a much more softer purple.   I've tried all different colours and brands but not this one so far. Lee has used their red alot of times and has always had great results. Just not on mine lol. I wouldn't say it covered my greys much as they now loo like a pinky/ purple highlight but i do like the end result.

I always ask my sister for a girlie but edgy cut, that doesn't take much work and styling. So it normally involves having a shorter side, that I love.

After what felt like thosands of photos, I finally have a selfie that I actually like haha. So here it is, my 2013 holiday hair cut and first selfie I've ever liked!   drum roll please..........
I like that one despite the fact I'm 30 and look like a teenage chipmunk haha.

Before doing hair, my sister was focused on our nails. Shes brought the whole gel nail stuff that shes pretty much in love with at the moment. I intentionally wanted something simple and pink, maybe stripes, that would go with everything for my holiday. After mums internet inspiration search,  here's what I shall be rocking this week:
Picture
Yes that is the toy story alien and for fun we gave him a girlfriend lol
My sister has recently set up a hair and nails facebook page if anyone wants to check her out: https://www.facebook.com/LeesHairNails
Heres what my sister Lee and mum will be sporting this week, both done by Lee.
Anyway, I'm outta here, feel free to leave me a comment below or tell me what your rocking this summer.
I'm off for a week so keep your fingers crossed that I get some nice, hot dry weather and I'm brave enough to get my first bikini one, in 30 years lol.

Until next time,
Donna xxxxxxx

If you saw my last blog you'd pretty much guess I'm abit of a fan of skull prints and well just skulls in general. I love to mix a skull print with something cute and girlie. That's my idea outfit.
I'm on holiday tomorrow (only great yarmouth but a breaks a break)  so was out shopping and found some gorgeous new skull items :)

On my first shopping trip, I got this beautiful new satchel bag.  I saw it in a local little independent clothes shop on the walk into town. It was sat in the window  calling me "Donna, Donna don't you want?" I decided to be good and get the bits I went shopping for first and thought if I have money left I'm getting it. As all my goodie I brought were little bargains, I had cash left and it was a race back home before the shop closed. We got there at 5.10 so I was bloody lucky lol.

Ignore my paint splattered carpet this was taken in my art studio :)
This lovely bag was only £20 total bargain!! I loved the mix of the skulls and roses. It's pretty big so prefect for on holiday as I can carry a drink and a light jacket just in case.

Sadly I can't share a link to where you can buy this bag as they don't have one but the shops called "Fashion avenue" if your ever in the  Harlow area check them out :)

My next skully buy was a skirt.
I'd not tried the whole wiggle skirt/dress trend as being a petite 5ft women, I kinda guessed they wouldn't really do much for me, but I found a gorgeous pink and blue aztec  wiggle skirt. As it was only £7 I took a chance and now love them. Can't show you a photo as its now packed ready to go. As it was so comfy I decided to search for another one to travel in. Off to ebay I went and found this:
For only £4.75 and with p+p only  £1.99 how could I saw no!  This fits so spot on and I'd say it finishes mid calf on me. Pretty much where I'd want it.
You can buy it here or they have a great choice of styles if skulls aren't your thing :)
For my drive to great yarmouth I'm planning on teaming this skirt with my cute little top and my chunky studded ring.
This little top was from primark, I find it so comfortable and being loose fitting prefect for the summer. I've since brought it in a about 5 other colours as they just go with anything. My studded ring I brought about a year ago online from here  but  it seems like they have sold out of this ring so I was lucky :)

my last skull buy comes from primark.
Every girl loves new undies and as I've seen to have had a late growth spurt and have grown. I've needed to stock up on some new bras. Who could resist this pretty skull set for only £4!? see no one :P

Anyway these are my new buy and if  I don't catch you guys before my holiday, have a great week and keep safe :)
Feel free to leave me a comment below and tell me what you think. Would you buy these?

till next time,

And she lay on the bank, the wind light as a thief
As I kissed her goodbye, I said, 'All beauty must die'
And lent down and planted a rose between her teeth "

Back in April I was in London to see "carnaby street the musical" with my little sister, when we stumbled across this little dress shop. Now I can't give you the name of it , nor the location, as, well I forgot.  No amount of googling has helped me find this shop!!!
Anyway They were selling all these cute dresses, buy one get one half price. So we couldn't resist having a look. The prices ranged from £10 to about £35 so very affordable. Our two dresses only came to £30 together so a nice bargain.
As the weather has brighten up I finally got to wear mine.
Picture
Relaxing in my Sisters garden.

Now anyone who knows me, will know I love skulls and my style varies between girly and more of a rock chick thing. So this dress was a perfect combo.
I loved the blue colour, it drew me in straight away.  The fit was spot on for me, I don't like super short dresses or flashing to much flesh. This probably fits knee length on me, but then I am a small 5 foot lol.
The material feels really nice and soft, kinda like a satin feel. The only problem I had was sometimes the material would stick to my legs when walking, but that was only once or twice.

This is what I teamed my dress with.

Cute lil necklace posing on my small artist dummy.

Jeweled skull ring.
I wanted to bring out the skull and girlieness abit more.
The necklace has a cluster of tiny butterflies and was a present from my little sister, brought in next. Sadly as she brought it before Christmas I don't think you can still get it but here's the Online site here
This is probably one of my favourite skull rings. The artist in me loves the engraved detailing and I love the jeweled eyes.
The ring was brought from  here  St8ment.co.uk a great little online shop, I own quite a few pieces from them now. They do exactly what the name says, loads of beautiful statement accessories at reasonable prices.

Close up detail!
Close up of the pattern. When I wore this dress to work the other day, my boss commented on what a nice dress it was. It wasn't till she got closer that she even noticed the skulls.

Me and my two youngest nieces.
When I was thinking up a music related title for this blog, My favourite Kylie song was what came to mind. I think the song fits perfectly with the dress. Hope you guys follow my way of thinking LOL.

What do you guys think? Would you wear this dress?
Let me know your thoughts below :)

Bye for now guys, catch ya next time!
I'll leave you with Kylie and Nick Cave:  where the wild roses grow.

"Well, it's one for the money,
Two for the show,
Three to get ready,
Now go, cat, go.

But don't you step on my blue suede shoes.
You can do anything but lay off of my blue suede shoes. "

I went shopping last week and found myself in New look- in the shoe department and well that's a dangerous place for a women to find herself!
Worst still they had a sale on!! double danger right there!
While shopping for birthday presents for my sister Emma, I came across these babies

I saw these some time ago while out on a girlie shopping trip and was tempted.
Me and my youngest sister actually had a little argument over who should buy these- never come between a girl and her shoes lol. She said they would go with most of her new work uniform and my point was there shoe boots and well i love shoe boots lol. Long story short, they weren't in her size (5) and I had no cash on me at the time, so we both left empty handed. So imagine my delight when I spotted the last pair (in a size 3) sat there lonely on the shelf. They called me "Donna, Donna come here we've so sad on our own, we need friends" When I picked them up to give them a hug (you know to cheer them up a bit) I saw they were reduced from £20 to £10. That was me sold there! Bargain!

I love shoe boots, there definitely my go to shoe, you won't be surprised to hear I'm getting a bit of a collection. Soon my family will be banning me from buying any more, just like  they have with shorts, but thats another story :P

These shoes are  comfortable and just the right heel height for me, as I'm rubbish at walking in heels. They're not as bright as they appear in these photos, more of a navy colour, so they will go most things. That's the beauty of a shoe boot, they can be dressed up or just thrown on with jeans and a t-shirt.
I've not worn them yet but I will let you know how I get on with them and what I team them with etc at a later date.

Whats your fashion obsession? Mine as you know is shorts and shoe boots- maybe Caroline flack is my long lost twin. Well I wish I had those legs :)

Till next time guys,
feel free to leave me a comment and tell me your thoughts on these shoes.
Take care  :D

So I went to see The Hangover 3, last week and I really enjoyed it.                                                                                                                                                                         I think when I saw hangover the first one it was mainly because Bradley Cooper was seriously hot and I'm not gonna lie that is still a major factor! But I was soon hooked on the Wolf pack.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              *Spoilers ahead* Don't read any further if your yet to watch!!                                    .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Instead of the stag night formula that both hangover and hangover two follow, the third in the trilogy centers on Alan basically being forced to grow up.                                                                                                                                  .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 The movie starts with the death of Alan's dad which leads to a intervention that doesn't quite go to plan.  On route to Rehab the gang are ambushed by Marshall played by John Goodman.  Once again poor Doug gets kidnapped (Justin Bartha must be so pissed he misses all the fun again) You see Mr chow (Ken Jeong) has stolen $21 million in gold from Marshall and as Alan's the only one whose been in contact with him, it's up to the wolf pack to locate Chow and hand both him and the gold bars over to Marshall, in return they get Doug back. All leading the trio back to Vegas where it all begin.                                                                                                                      This brings the return of Some recurring characters like Jade the stripper, Black Doug and a very funny appearance from Melissa McCarthy as Cassie the pawn shop owner.                                                                                                  I've read a lot of bad reviews since watching hangover 3 and yes it feels, at times, like your watching a action film rather then a then a comedy but it still manages to bring a lot of laughs.                                                                        It's alot more Alan (Zach Galifianakis) centered and I feel Stu (Ed Helms) and Phil (Bradley Cooper)  take a little more of a back seat in this one, but the scene with Stu and Chow breaking into the house is one of my favourites. Me and my sister have been reenacting the dog bowl moment quite a few times this week.  It's gross but tickled me!                                                 .                                                                                                                                                                  .                                                                                                                                                   Verdict:                                                                                                                                     I wasn't expecting this to be as good as the original Hangover, and it wasn't ( no sequel ever is) but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.   There's action, comedy and a great butt shot of Bradley Cooper~ always great for us ladies.                                                                                                                                          The cast, as always, were great. They were funny and convincing and made you want to continue watching, even when the plot goes abit over the top. Mr Chow was as camp as ever but I loved the sadder, more sensitive, side of him that came out (think the karaoke bar scene)  Chow gets quoted alot with me and my sister~ "so long Bitches"                                                                                                                                                  I think its probably the right time for the end of Hangover, but I will miss the Wolf Pack.  Stu~ the scared goodie two shoes who always goes wild. Phil ~the macho guy who comes up with the plan~ kinda like the leader. and Alan the big goofy kid whose highly inappropriate but you just can't help but love.                                                                                                                                                          Yes its over the top~ but its what you come to expect. Yes technically they don't suffer a hangover in this movie. Yes its rude and crude but really you wouldn't have it any other way, would you?                                                             Go see it, it's worth it :)                                                                                                                        7/10                                                                                                                                                               .                                                                                                                                                  "Toodaloo, mothafuckas!"  as chow would say lol   :P                                                                      Till next time                                                                                                                                                  Donna xxxx                                                                                                                                                                            p.s Don't forget to stay for the extra bit after the  credits, its literally my favourite scene in the whole movie!!                                                                                                       p.p.s sorry for all these weird dots, my enter key isn't working LOL. And the weird indent thing happening, my latops on the way out. blame the cat~ long story! :P  will try and fix this on a different computer sometime :)                               .                                                                                                                                                                       .Alan: "We can’t be friends anymore. When we get together, bad things happen and people get hurt."                                                                                                                                Mr. Chow: "Yeah, but that’s the point! It’s funny!"

...Everytime I do it makes me laugh......"
Nickleback right there LOL.

So I borrowed this post from my other blog site :P

My lil sister Lee brought me a scrap book type thing, with a blank canvas  cover. She said I could fill it with all things I've do this year, so that I can see how far I've come with my battle to overcome my anxiety.

Well when she gave it to me she'd done half a page and printed off afew photos lol.
I've got as far as march so and I love the idea of looking back, when I have a anxiety day and saying "get over yourself, look at what your done so far"
I've painted the front cover with black and white trees- to represent the dark place i was in- wondering through the wilderness and the back cover is a sunset over the ocean- to represent the bright future I hopefully have in front of me.
I just will share photos of the covers soon, but for now I wanted to leave you with a page I made. This ones from my 30th.

Brace yourselves this shows you just how geeky I really am. The side I hide away lol.
Are you ready???
Yep that is my take on comic book lol.
My inner geek is well and truly out there now :P

Anyway thats all for today, bye :)

Hello, Hi and welcome :)

I just wanted to give you a little introduction about me, that might explain any random stuff I post about.

Firstly I'm a struggling artist and kitchen assistant in a school.
Auntie to 4 beautiful nieces.

For the last 10 years I've suffered with anxiety attacks, that left me not really doing much. Not really even wanting to leave the house!!                       I reached 30 this year and decided it was year to get out there and beat this once and for all.
I have a blog I use as a personal diary about this struggle here

This Blog I wanted to post all the random stuff, like fashion, music, my cakes that I make and maybe a few reviews etc.
Basically just a bit more fun and light hearted short posts :)                        Stuff that don't really fit on my other blog!

Hope you enjoy the ramble stuff that floats around :)
Take care for now...
